A little about me.....I grew up in Thompson Falls, MT, went to college in Oregon, and moved to Helena in January of 1997. I acquired my real estate license in September of '06 and have worked under three of the most respected names in the Helena real estate market, Teresa Lightbody, Mark Stahly, and Susan Hughes; owners of Big Sky Brokers Real Estate. Their mentoring has been of utmost significance in my approach to this business and I am fortunate to call on their diverse experience, bringing added value to my transactions.
Prior to embarking on this course of real estate, I spent nearly 10 years working for a conservation consulting firm. This background in energy and water conservation has allowed me to tour thousands of homes across the state of Montana, providing a solid understanding of (and appreciation for) residential construction of all vintages. This knowledge, in conjunction with the ongoing restoration of my historic Helena residence, gives me the foresight to see potential in every home!
On a personal note, I am described as “down-to-earth”. I drive a small, economical car, and am passionate about my garden, my family, and taking good care of our planet. I enjoy live music, hiking, and pints at the Blackfoot Brewery with friends. I support the vision of the Alternative Energy Resources Organization and in January of 2009, began contributing a portion of each closing to this very important effort. Check them out at aeromt.org.
I have thoughtfully chosen real estate education that will help me to become a trusted resource for my customers. Aside from achieving the very valuable EcoBroker ® certified designation, I am also a GRI graduate, as well as CNE (Certified Negotiations Expert). I will continue to expand and enhance my real estate education throughout my career. As your REALTOR, I will bring a sincere dedication to your interests and a level of experience not common in “newer” agents. I will listen carefully and help you make informed decisions. I will offer open and prompt communication, straight-forward negotiation, positive energy, a good sense of humor, and a comprehensive knowledge of the process of buying and selling real estate in Helena.
